Absolutely amazing experience. Ordered the 2012 Shou Mei White tea and it did not disappoint. Amazing fragrance and flavor for a reasonable price. I also received an additional white tea and small tea set as a gift and have enjoyed both. Amazing quality tea and service. Will buy again and try tea club subscription.
Love 2012 Shou Mei. It brings beautiful notes of the apple orchard, leaves, baked apples, warm autumn days... I even baked an apple on the fire to compliment this tea.
A great aged white tea. Drinking it for the first time was shocking. A lot in this one tea. The tea is very smooth and clean. Nice sweetness to it but with the herbal medicinal flavor from its age in the background. This tea last a while in a pot and make a beautiful yellowish amber brew. Very good for a longer drinking session and just good white tea.
This 2012 Shou Mei is so delicious. It offers a wonderfully approachable introduction to aged white tea. There's a subtle sweetness that mingles with earthy undertones, and hints of dried fruits, light florals, or a gentle honeyed quality that lingers pleasantly. The mouthfeel is soft and coating without being heavy, and the finish is clean with a gentle sweetness that persists. Also, thanks to Loren's generosity, there are 2 samples that come with the order, and I am looking forward to trying.

Following a fourteen-year maturation period, the material has reached a state of sensory equilibrium where the profile remains invariant across extensive brewing cycles. The initial infusions present a transient, vestigial roasted marker which rapidly dissipates, revealing a dominant, consistent core. This core is characterized by persistent sweetness with high-fidelity notes of honey and pear. The extraction curve is remarkably linear, resisting terminal thinning and maintaining its structural integrity through seven or more brews.
Whites are my personal favorite. This one is killer. Like really really good. It's everything you want from your aged whites. Hope it comes back in stock soon or something extremely similar.
